But reality doesn’t care about aesthetics.

In practice, it rarely does.

What lawyers do is reduce the chance of rejection — not delay.

A rejected application means restarting the entire cycle. And in Canarias, that cycle can take 3–6 months.

三、制度逻辑：Canarias as a microcosm of Spain’s dual economy

Spain’s legal system is not monolithic.

I used free templates from AEAT and Gobierno de Canarias. I translated everything myself. I emailed the town hall 17 times.

She spoke fluent English, had 12 years in Arrecife, and knew the inspector who handles hospitality permits.

She didn’t promise speed. She said:

“I can’t make them faster. But I can make sure you don’t get stuck on the first mistake.”
